The WNBA's 2022 schedule places the Las Vegas Aces in a rematch of their 2021 semifinals series against the Phoenix Mercury in the season opener. The Aces' season tips off on Friday, May 6, at Phoenix. Las Vegas’ home opener comes two days later at Michelob ULTRA Arena against the Seattle Storm.
Teams are playing 36 games during the 2022 regular season—18 at home, and 18 on the road. Las Vegas plays three games against every opponent, except for the Los Angeles Sparks, Minnesota Lynx and Seattle, whom they play four times.
Las Vegas welcomes the 2021 WNBA Champion Chicago Sky on Tuesday, June 21, and Thursday, August 11.
The regular season concludes Sunday, August 14, with the Aces hosting the Storm at the end of a three-game home stand. That is the earliest a WNBA regular season has ended since 2006. The Aces have no back-to-back games.
The 2022 WNBA Playoffs were recently reconfigured and will include three rounds of series-play using a best-of 3-5-5 format. The eight teams with the highest winning percentages regardless of conference will qualify for the postseason, and be seeded based on their record. All eight playoff teams will participate in first-round, bracket-style play consisting of four best-of-three series.
Ticket information will be released after the New Year.
