There was a stirring in College Park Friday night.
Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts was the main cause of the commotion - temporarily outshining the Terps' basketball game against No. 22 Indiana he was attending.
Hurts, with new Terps head coach and former Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Mike Locksley, was in Maryland for a campus visit after entering his name in college football's transfer portal.

January 11, 2019 Hurts, who is eligible to play in the 2019 season as a graduate-transfer, heard his name chanted by the Maryland student section on a few occasions.
The student section has chanted, "We want Jalen!" a couple times tonight since Hurts is here. The Jalen who's on the basketball team has missed all seven of his shots and has turned the ball over twice.

January 12, 2019 On the court, Maryland won their fifth consecutive game with a 78-75 win over the Hoosiers to improve their record to 14-3 on the season (5-1 in conference).
While one big-time quarterback won't make Maryland a "football school" like other Big Ten powerhouses, Hurts would surely help them compete next season.
