Before Thursday night, Dwayne Haskins said he didn't care where he went in the NFL Draft.

“Don’t know, don’t care,” Haskins said. “Just give me a ball and let me spin it.”

But all that changed.

First, the New York Giants took quarterback Daniel Jones with the No. 6 overall pick
And Haskins was not too pleased.

And the people at Haskins' draft party felt snubbed, too.

Then Washington made the call at No. 15.

After getting drafted by the Redskins: "I'm excited, man. I just really can't believe it. I'm just grateful for the opportunity."

But Haskins still has the team's that passed on him on his mind.

"To be honest, I'm more motivated now than ever. There's a bigger chip on my shoulder," Haskins told ESPN. "The league done messed up."

"I talked to my family when I knew that (the Giants) were going to give him the pick," Haskins told the media.

On the Giants, Haskins said: “I’m just looking forward to being able to compete against those guys for the rest of my career.”

Now the work begins.

"I'm just going to work on getting my head in that playbook. I'm going to do all I can to get physically and mentally ready for the upcoming season and just motivate my guys that's coming in with me in this rookie class and do all I can to be prepared for the season," Haskins said. "Expectation is to work as hard as I can, do all I can to be a part of this position in this franchise and I'm looking forward to contributing any way possible and just get down and work."
