Adrian Peterson has a goal of all-time greatness. With each game he plays, he seems to take one step closer.
On Sunday, his latest victim on the list was beloved Redskins running back John Riggins, whom he tied and then passed for career rushing touchdowns.
Riggins ended his career at age 35 with 104 rushing touchdowns. On Sunday, at age 33, Peterson took a handoff from Alex Smith in the first half and rumbled into the end zone to tie Riggo's mark:

November 18, 2018 In the second half, Peterson took a handoff from Colt McCoy, bounced it outside to the left once again, and gave the Redskins their first lead of the game. It was also the team's first lead change of the season:

November 18, 2018 In doing so, Peterson tallied his 26th career multi-touchdown game, meaning that he has scored more than half of his career touchdowns in bunches. The mark also moves him into fourth place all-time for multi touchdown games, trailing only LaDainian Tomlinson (38), Emmitt Smith (36) and Jim Brown (27), according to NFL communications.
On a day when many things went so wrong for the Redskins, Peterson continues to be a silver lining of things that went right.
