But the problem is, they haven't made nearly enough of them.
In Friday night's defeat in Toronto, the Wizards shot a team-record 46 times from behind the arc. They missed on 37 of those attempts.
The Wizards are attempting 33.1 threes per game this season (9th most in the league), but are tied for second-worst in the NBA in three-point percentage on the year at 31.7.
“It’s not like we’re trying to miss on purpose,”
Jeff Green said. “We’re just missing.”
Even with all
of the drama off the court, it is hard to forget how abysmal some of the play on the court has been. During a win over the Clippers, the Wizards missed three attempts from behind the arc in one possession, beginning with an air-ball on an open look by John Wall.

November 21, 2018 “We haven’t really shot the ball well at all this year,” head coach Scott Brooks said after the game Friday. “We keep saying that we’re gonna (have) a nice little shooting streak, but we shot 9 for 46 from 3, and I don’t know if a lot of them were contested.”
