Joe Gibbs is officially a legend in two sports.
A three-time Super Bowl-winning coach with the Redskins, Gibbs, enshrined in 1996, was already a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Gibbs, 78, was announced as a member of the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2020 on Thursday after being named on 72 percent of the 59 voting members' ballots.
He'll be enshrined with two of his drivers, top vote-getter Tony Stewart and Bobby Labonte, along with Buddy Baker and Waddell Wilson.
Gibbs founded Joe Gibbs Racing in 1992, the year before his first NFL retirement. Since then, his teams have competed in 3,532 total races across NASCAR's four circuits, winning four Monster Energy Cup Series championships (2000, 2002, 2005, 2015), two Xfinity Series championships (2009, 2016) and 323 total races.
