The Redskins defense came to play

The Redskins held the Cowboys to just 21 rushing yards, and 162 total yards, in the first half.

Dallas had what seemed like a big-time injury scare late in the first quarter, when Dak Prescott, taking off down the sideline, lunged headfirst for the first-down marker where he was abruptly met by Greg Stroman. Prescott went down hard and looked woozy getting up. CBS color analyst Tony Romo immediately identified it as a concussion.

Here’s the hit that sent Cowboys QB Dak Prescott to the medical tent pic.twitter.com/MufUFLlpAC

But the worries proved premature, as Prescott would return to the game on the Cowboys' next drive.

Well. Stroman made sure Dak didn't get the first down. Also sent him into next week. I have to think that Prescott gets checked for a concussion. Like the independent doctor has to be like "you, c'mon over here."

Dak Prescott suffered a direct shot to his head. Gets up very shaky. Cowboys punt as Preacott gets attention

I dont see the blue medical tent on the Cowboys sideline yet but you'd have to think Dallas is checking on Dak Prescott after that hit

Dak Prescott being evaluated for a concussion. This is huge

Tony Romo rightly points out if Dak Prescott wasn't coming back in the game then Cooper Rush would be warming up. He is not. #Cowboys #Redskins

Dak Prescott hitting the smelling salts before that last possession is nothing new. He does that often before he goes out to start a series early in the game

The Redskins needed a big game defensively against Dallas. So far, so good.

I love this description of that. Kerrigan hadn't really converted speed to power well this year. Did that there perfectly. https://t.co/ohkn75eHmj
