The Redskins are signing former Ravens first-round pick Breshad Perriman, 106.7 The Fan's Craig Hoffman confirmed on Monday.

Workout was categorized to me this morning (beforehand) as taking a look for their emergency stash.I guess Perriman looked hella good. https://t.co/5YFQwlF8OH

Perriman is a bit of a workout warrior. One scout told me that his pro day 40 (4.25) is the fastest he's ever timed.Tape alone was a 3rd/4th round grade. That workout got him drafted in the 1st. Obviously didn't produce in Baltimore.

The 25-year-old wide receiver never lived up to his first-round billing and was waived by Baltimore ahead of the 2018 regular season. Now he gets a second chance with the Redskins, a team riddled with injuries at the wide receiver position just two weeks into the season.

Perriman was one of about "four or five guys" to work out at Redskins Park on Monday, according to head coach Jay Gruden. Former Broncos QB Paxton Lynch and ex-Cardinal receiver Michael Floyd are two other players who reportedly worked out for the Redskins.

Chesson did well on special teams, but nearly got Smith picked on his one target. Could certainly be brought back on PSquad. This makes room for Perriman. https://t.co/8duBogWGQu

The Redskins waived Jehu Chesson, who was added from the practice squad for Sunday's home-opener, a roster move that seemingly corresponded with the Perriman signing. But Gruden also mentioned running back Robert Kelley suffered a toe injury, and could miss up to a "month, month-and-a-half" if the injury requires surgery. Which means another move was likely coming.

That move is Michael Floyd, Washington's second wide receiver signing of the day.

Before signing WR Breshad Perriman, the #Redskins worked out WRs, TEs and QBs. Notables: Michael Floyd, Kendall Wright and Paxton Lynch.

Source: The #Redskins aren’t done adding at WR. They are signing FA Michael Floyd, I’m told. Two in one day.

Confirming @RapSheet that the #Redskins are signing WR Michael Floyd. Corresponding roster move not known at this time.

Floyd, 28, is also a former first-round pick (Cardinals, 2012). He spent 2017 in Minnesota, where he caught 10 passes for 78 yards in 11 games. He signed with the Saints this summer but was released before the regular season.
