After BMitch and Finlay gave their reaction to the Capitals and Wizards’ announced move to Alexandria, they opened up the phone lines to get the reactions from fans in the area.
“I’m a big Caps fan…look, the area is going to be booming,” Carlos in Severna Park said. “You could tell it’s getting run down a bit [downtown]. They’re not showing true support to the Capitals. it’s well overdue. I think it’s gonna be great.”
Others simply want to see winning teams, regardless of where they call home.
“Don’t build me an arena. Build me a winning product that somebody wants to spend their money on,” Garefax said. “Build that. I don’t care where your arena is…RFK is a dump, and people were fighting over season tickets, because they were good.”
