Since that discussion, Pederson has gotten scalding hot at the plate.
In a 13-12 win over the New York Mets Tuesday, Pederson went 4-for-6 with three home runs and eight RBIs:
Giants manager Gabe Kapler -- who was teammates with Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz on the Boston Red Sox -- called Pederson's effort Tuesday night "probably the best offensive performance I’ve ever been around."
If Pederson performed like 2001 Bonds on Tuesday evening, he had a 2004 Bonds-esque effort Wednesday afternoon at Oracle Park. In addition to walking twice, Pederson launched his 11th home run of the season in a 9-3 matinee victory over the Mets:

He left his peal necklace in Atlanta, but is putting together his best season in years, slashing .260/.331/.606 with 11 home runs, 24 RBIs and a .936 OPS.
