David Cone threw a perfect game against the Montreal Expos on July 18, 1999, the last perfect game thrown by a Yankee…until Wednesday night, when Domingo German did it against the Athletics.

And when he did, the Yankees and the Expos/Nationals got linked again: Oakland had the longest streak of not being no-hit, their last no-hitter or perfect game against coming back on July 13, 1991, done by the Orioles.

The new owner of the longest streak? The Nationals, whose last time being no-hit or perfect against was…that July 18, 1999 David Cone perfecto.

Congrats, Nats!
