The Philadelphia Eagles are signing former New York Jets pass rusher Bryce Huff to a three-year deal worth $51.1 million, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Huff, 25, had a career 10.0 sacks last season with the Jets, his fourth NFL season. Huff's 21.8-percent pressure rate was best in the NFL (minimum 250 snaps).
Huff had just 2.0 sacks in 2020, 2.0 sacks in 2021, and 3.5 sacks in 2022.
Huff has only been a part time player for his career, struggling against the run. Through four seasons, Huff's snap percentages are:
2020 - 30%
2021 - 51%
2022 - 20%
2023 - 42%
Huff went undrafted in 2020 out of Memphis and this deal makes him the highest paid non-QB undrafted free agent in NFL history.
The Eagles are reportedly still taking trade calls on pass rushers Haason Reddick and Josh Sweat, as well, as legal tampering began at 12pm today.
