BMitch and Finlay were taken aback by the amount of callers who were calling for Ron Rivera and Jack Del Rio’s job after another defensive struggle on Sunday.
Larry wanted Del Rio and Rivera gone. Rami in Falls Church wanted Rivera gone. And they weren’t the only ones.
“I’m surprised by the amount of ‘fire the coach calls,’” Finlay said. “I am stunned at how many people want the coach gone at 2-2 with the Bears coming to town.
Finlay isn’t near that level yet, and while Washington has lost back to back games, they just finished playing two bonafide contenders, taking the defending NFC champs to the brink on the road in overtime on Sunday.
So, he’s not going to talk about firing anybody just yet.
“I don’t believe it’s time to fire anyone,” Finlay said. “I want to be clear about that. It’s October, and they’re 2-2.”
