“It’s business, it’s football. In Year 7, there’s very few things that surprise me anymore in this league. I understand it’s a business, and I wish them luck in the rest of their careers.”
Those were the words of Jonathan Allen this week, when asked his reaction about the trades of Montez Sweat and Chase Young, and how the Commanders will move forward without them.
BMitch and Finlay played about 90 seconds of audio from Allen, and according to JP, “he was reasoned and largely correct.”
“I picked that up, and when you’re at his caliber, you don’t just control what you can control – you help your teammates push forward, too.
That’s a part of leadership,” BMitch said. “You talk about handling your business, and yeah, but when you are that good, you gotta bring other people with you. That’s the way your team grows.”
