Reacting to Jack Del Rio’s firing on Monday morning, BMitch and Finlay sounded off on the sad state of the Commanders, who BMitch said didn’t seem to come out with any new approach on Thanksgiving against the Cowboys.

“I saw a lot of not focusing on the game, and I also saw no changes,” BMitch said. “That was desperation that we were in. did we change up the way we approached it on defense? No, we went out there with the same crap we’ve been getting our asses kicked with, and we ran that to perfection.”

For JP, the fact that the Cowboys had a premeditated touchdown celebration only showed that the Commanders have become a doormat that teams expect to blow out, which is all the evidence you need to know that changes are needed.

“The Cowboys knew they could put turkey legs inside of a giant pot in the end zone, because they knew they’d be kicking Washington’s ass enough to pull out the turkey legs and eat them on national television,” JP said. “That, above all else, is the problem. That is a massive problem. If they were playing the Eagles, the 49ers, the Dolphins, or the Lions on Thanksgiving, they wouldn’t have done it. They knew.

“Losing to the Giants at home with Tommy DeVito at quarterback, that’s effing embarrassing. Losing to the Bears, being down 27-3 at halftime when they haven’t won in a calendar year, that’s effing embarrassing. When you go down to Dallas, and they put turkey legs in the Salvation Army kettle before the game, because they know they are going to kick your ass, that’s no longer embarrassing. That is, you have been outclassed. You’ve been lapped. You’ve been relegated.”
