The Commanders did not use their franchise tag, but in the run-up to the deadline, Kamren Curl, who was the likeliest candidate if there was one, had a run of four Tweets where he reposted a pair from Calvin Ridley – one saying ‘everybody know ball now’ and the other ‘boys make these accounts and play GM’ – and then one with a peace sign emoji before one with a happy crying face emoji.
