BMitch & Finlay: If you could ask Ron Rivera one question, what would it be?

It was an oddly specific scenario that the guys presented, but nonetheless, Brian Mitchell & JP Finlay did have a question for the listeners on Tuesday: if you ran into Ron Rivera at the Russell Branch Parkway Wawa in Sterling, what is the one question you would ask him?

We told you it was oddly specific, and you can hear why in the audio clip this story is based on below, but regardless…if you're headed to Commanders practice and stop at that Wawa to pick up a JP Finlay-approved chicken salad sandwich and a delicious Wawa iced tea while you fill your gas tank, and Coach Rivera is the only other one there (besides Landphill, who is apparently there so much he's being asked to pay rent), and you have a hot minute to chat him up, what would you do?

It took a good five minutes of Wawa talk (what is this, WIP?) to get to the point, but they finally did…and when Jeff Walker said his would be "bro, could I get a tryout," the rest of the guys had to clown his poor football career.

In reality, Jeff would push his DJ career and "shoot my business shot and buy him some Skittles," while 'Phill had a football question: Do you honestly believe Sam Howell is going to save your job?

"That sounds harsh, but it's a fair question," BMitch replied. "I think people believe that if this doesn't go well, things won't work."

"Even if they weren't changing owners, this is Year 4, and they haven't yet had a winning season," Andrew Mullins shot back.

JP then said he gets to talk to Ron a lot, but during this break period of the offseason, teams know what they have for the fall minus a fluke injury or transaction – and so, as BMitch said 'this is the girl you brought to the Prom, gotta dance with her,' JP would ask if Ron thinks 'the whole damn team is enough to dance with.'

And BMitch?

"Last time I saw Ron, I asked him if how he felt things worked out this offseason, and he said the guys had put in a ton of work and grew a lot…so we'll see," Brian said. "People want to know, want to see how it's going to happen on the field."

And back to Sam Howell…

"There's gotta be some folks in that building who wonder why this is the plan if our jobs are on the line," JP said.

"I don't think anybody is concerned about that. You ask questions to people all the time, and they give you the answers they truly feel," Brian replied. "You may look at him like he's not it yet, but when you see how hard he works, you start pulling for him because you see what he's putting into it. I don't think anyone is complaining about it or questioning the fact of will Sam Howell be the guy."

There are a lot of questions to be asked, so listen to the entire conversation, Wawa love and all, above!
