Former Commanders center Tyler Biadasz agrees to three-year deal with Chargers

An ex-Commander has quickly found a new home, as the Los Angeles Chargers have agreed to a three-year, $30 million deal with Washington center Tyler Biadasz.

The Commanders released Biadasz earlier this offseason, saving at least $2.885 million of his scheduled $8.3 million salary in the final year of his deal, and he will now get a slight raise plus two more years in LA.

The Chargers were able to make the signing and announce it before the start of the league year because Biadasz was released, and not a contractual free agent. He will replace Bradley Bozeman, who retired this offseason, anchoring an offensive line bookended by tackles Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater.

Biadasz was a fourth-round pick of the Cowboys in 2020 and a Pro Bowler in 2022, and played 31 of 34 games for the Commanders over two seasons after following Dan Quinn from Dallas.

Washington now either must find a new center in free agency, or go forward with the re-signed Nick Allegretti and 2025 backup Michael Dieter as their options in the middle.
