If you listened to Jay Gruden’s segment with Chris Russell on The Team 980 yesterday, or checked out the website, you heard/saw an interesting take: Gruden would consider trading one or both of Montez Sweat or Chase Young before the trade deadline next Tuesday, if the Commanders don’t think they can sign both (or even one) long-term.
Well, with the Commanders 3-4 and facing the 6-1 Eagles Sunday, they could be two under .500 and four out in the division with three losses come Sunday night – and that leads to wonder if the Commanders could, and should, be sellers at the deadline? Apparently, they're taking calls about players, so the thought is at least out there.
