JP Finlay says “there are few people on the planet that I believe understand the value of toughness, grit, heart, and determination better than” our own PhD in Canine Studies, Rick “Doc” Walker, who joined the Junkies to discuss the state of the Commanders early Tuesday morning.

But Doc also joined JP to weigh in on the Commanders’ coaching search, and that’s where we found out that Rick Walker’s preference for next DC HC is…Jim Harbaugh?

“Presumably, Jim Harbaugh is gonna leave Michigan, where he was suspended for six games this year, and head back to the NFL where he's had a ton of success,” JP said. “He’s been to a Super Bowl, he's proven he can win in the pros. Would you want Jim Harbaugh wearing burgundy and gold?”

“Oh, of course,” Doc replied. “Where’s our final destination? The Super Bowl? So I want a guy who's actually been there. He got GPS built in his brain because he's been there, as opposed to people that gotta have maps laid out. He’s a porcupine; I want porcupines, people that make your job rough, but we win. I don't want the guys who are cocktail hosts, everyone loves them and we're in last place. I'm not looking to continue that level.”

Well, it’s not just Harbaugh, as Doc says he wants a winner, but he in on Harbaugh all the way, even with the element of ‘stuff’ with him.

“Winners have a little baggage. Nobody's perfect, but would you rather have a Good Humor man, or Scrooge but you’re winning? Scrooge,” Doc said. “I can no longer keep losing and being mocked, I’m sick and tired of it.
Time to move on. Harbaugh’s not the only guy, but I want people that understand that the bottom line is winning and are committed to winning, period.”
