BMitch was fired up after Eric Bieniemy's Commanders press conference

Brian Mitchell was fired up after hearing Eric Bieniemy introduced as the new Commanders offensive coordinator on Thursday.

"Eric Bieniemy is fired up," BMitch reacted afterwards on 106.7 The Fan. "But what's our favorite quote of the whole press conference?"

"Eric Bieniemy is a ball coach," his producer chimed.

"Eric Bieniemy is a ball coach!" BMitch replied. "And that's what we're looking for. Eric, you got us fired up and I know you have a lot of energy, and that rubs some people the wrong way. But I know what — what chaos normally does is brings about the best sometimes. It makes you figure out a way to get it done. And if you're gonna have that energy, they have to respond. I'm looking for a better overall football team."

"I've talked to several people in this building," BMitch said. "As I walked around, I see people smiling, they're excited. Breath of fresh air. I got some 'OMGs' sent to me. People are hearing something that they've wanted to hear. We still know you've got to go out there and implement that, put it into motion, but I think it's gonna happen."

"For me, it's just the directness, okay?" he continued. "I have heard coaches come in and they do a lot of coach speak and they beat around the bush. He's direct and straight to the point and I think that's the quickest way to get something done. You can't B.S. people too much longer. People are gonna see what they see and they're gonna believe what they see, not what you say."

"I went into that press conference not expecting anything, not trying to say I want to hear this or hear that, but I was motivated by what I heard. I've been kind of pleasantly surprised or happy," he said. "A lot of people have texted me or tweeted me saying, 'He sounds just like you, BMitch.' Well, I hope the hell he does and I hope the hell he can go out there and be like I would be if I were a coach. Because I'll tell you like this: I know that players want to be led, they want to be coached."

"If you let them B.S., they're gonna B.S.," he continued. "If you let them pussyfoot around, they're gonna do that. If you let them be easy on themselves and get complacent and lax, they're gonna do it. But if you hold them to the fire, they're gonna jump to it and live up to that, and that's what I want to see. I want to see accountability. I've been asking for it for years, from coaches, from players, from everybody! And if you get that, if each player holds each other accountable...

"Listen to me, it's not about, 'Well you know, everybody's against us.' That's not accountability, that's B.S. That's making excuses. But if a guy doesn't do something right, let him know. I've always told my players if I mess up, tell me. Because if you do, I'm gonna tell you. That's the only way we get better. If somebody messes up and then you just let it slide? That doesn't get anybody better. That doesn't make people correct."
