Apparently, $6.05 billion doesn’t buy what it used to, because if you looked closely on Monday night while he was in the MNF booth, Josh Harris was wearing a burgundy polo…with no Commanders branding?
“You guys are focusing on the wrong thing – freeze the image of him shaking the hand, pan up about a foot and a half, and right there on the chest where the block W would be for Commanders...it’s just a polo shirt, just a color with no logo,” Grant Paulsen said Friday. “You know how much team gear they have over at FedEx Field? You know how easy it is for Josh Harris to slap on a big Commanders polo and jacket and pants and underwear and socks, and paint his fingers and toenails burgundy and gold, and walk around with Commanders paint on his face? He’s the owner of the team, he could do whatever he wants, but nope, just a random, off the rack polo.”
That makes Harris “my kind of guy” in Grant’s eyes, as if he wasn’t already, even if it is a luxurious $900 polo, but it “looks like something I’d buy, where my wife buys my clothes.”
Producer Darris Dameron thinks it is indeed a luxurious shirt, which Grant could believe because his mom and wife buy his clothes (dude…), but Grant needed to play thing or not a thing with this and take your calls on that, and how many times he used the words Commanders vs. Washington Football vs. Redskins.
“This is dumb, but it’s a thing – he could’ve worn Commanders gear and he didn’t,” Grant said. “If wanted to wear it, he would’ve, and we’re at a point in the process where everything is a statement. Ten years from now we might not think about it, but this is the first time we’re meeting you across the country, this is a thing.”
Contestant No. 1 is Daniel Aloysius Alexander Rouhier I…who says YES!
“We‘ve gotten to a point here, where THIS IS A THING! IT’S A THING! IT’S 100 PERCENT A THING!” Danny said. “What was that telecast? I understand it was a preseason game, but it was a water-carrying event for the new group. What is it we noticed Tuesday morning? It was weird everyone was nice to us, and no scandal mentions, only to mention how good it is now! We are showcasing the new ownership with the national team, this was a big time to put that brand out there in Montana and New Mexico!”
Grant contradicted himself a little, noting not every little thing with the name itself is a thing, but Josh Harris’ wardrobe is a thing.
