Josh Harris threw out the first pitch at Nats Park…and then answered about FedEx and RFK

Our own Chris Russell was on the scene Thursday night at Nationals Park as the first crossover event between the Nats and Commanders took place, with Josh Harris throwing out the first pitch!

And, as we can see from Rooster’s video, it was, well, just like the sale of the Commanders: took a while, but got exactly where everyone needed it to be!

Screech and Major Tuddy were even yukking it up together:

And, after it all happened, Rooster a chance to chat Harris as the two franchises reconnected, and got his thoughts on what would be a major upset if the Commanders beat the Bills.

“I’m very ready for Sunday – the team is ready and everyone is together and locked in, and Ron has people believing we can do it,” Harris said. “We’re gonna keep it going and hopefully be 3-0.”

Harris is the NFL’s only undefeated owner right now, and while that won’t last much longer even if it does beyond Sunday,

“You gotta go with it,” he laughed aout that notion, “but we’re just here to work. I’ve been around sports a long time, and I realize that we’re going to keep going and try to create momentum. The guys are doing it on the field, which is the most important thing, and we’re going to keep trying to rally the city and gets the fans there to support us. While it’s going, we’re going to love it, but we’re going to pish harder and harder.”

Harris was a little coy, however, on the RFK situation.

“We’re focused on winning on the field and fixing up the existing stadium and engaging the community right now,” Harris said. “We have a lot going on, but I’m so happy that happened in a positive way.”

And in that fixing up the existing stadium vein, Harris knows Week 1 was a success, but there’s still a lot more to work on.

“I learned that everything we did rang well, but we have more to do. We continue to iterate and try to make it better,” Harris said. “Obviously the sound system his some of the areas and we want to hit more, and we continue working on a lot of things.”
