After Jon Allen's comments, the Junkies wonder if anyone is untouchable in a trade if the Commanders rebuild

You heard it live on the Sports Junkies Monday: Jon Allen saying that he loves the Commanders, but he wants to win, so he isn't averse to leaving if another rebuild is in the works and he can win somewhere else.

"I can understand his frustration, because he's 28 years old and has done nothing but lose here in Washington," Cakes said Tuesday morning after the guys replayed the audio. "We've always heard the average life-span of an NFL career is three seasons, so he's looking through the sand that has already gone through his hourglass and realizes I don't have forever to play this game and I wanna win, I want to make an impact on a winning team instead of flailing with a losing team."

So, Tuesday morning, that led the Junkies to a discussion wondering if some of the negative backlash about those comments was deserved, and then, if the Commanders do have to rebuild, certain players would be better off moved for assets then kept around?

In Allen's case, even with two big years left on his deal, he's likely one of the players who will bring back the most assets.

"If I was a fan of this team, I would want John to leave, not because of what he said or trying to get pieces for him, but because he's been like the only bright spot on this team," Valdez said. "He's been a classy guy, a model person for this organization, and if you're not happy, I want you to be happy somewhere else."

"It might be a win-win for everybody," EB said. "You might get a decent amount, because some defensive tackles can play into their mid-30s."

"You'd still be getting him close to his prime for a couple years, maybe you can get a fourth-round pick for him?" Cakes said, before agreeing that he would absolutely take a third-rounder if that was the offer.

As for the rest, well, it seems no one is untouchable.

"I would say whoever Josh Harris hires as the GM, I'm gonna tell that person, whoever it is, you have carte blanche, you can do whatever you want with this roster," Cakes said. "On the offensive line, I would honestly just bring in five new dudes and start from scratch!"

Take a listen as the Junkies discuss some possible ideas, including sending Terry McLaurin and/or literally any of the offensive linemen elsewhere, above!
