Junkies not expecting much reason for optimism rest of season for Commanders

As the Commanders turn the page after firing Jack Del Rio, The Sports Junkies aren’t expecting much of an improvement on the defensive side.

Sometimes a change in coaching can spark a team, and while there isn’t any more room to go down (the Commanders have the worst-ranked defense in the league), The Junks aren’t expecting much of an ascent in the coming weeks.

“Who is an optimist that is still a Commanders fan?” JP said. “There is not one Commanders fan out there that is still optimistic about the way the rest of this season is going to unfold.

“There are no more bright spots.”

“If you’re someone that tries to find bright spots amidst all the hell,” Cakes countered.

Bishop also doesn’t see much improvement coming for the rest of the season, simply because the Commanders just aren’t that good.

“It’s just a bad football team,” Bish said. “They’ve got some good individual football players. But it’s a bad team, not well coached, and over five months, it’s gonna be exposed.”
