We know they’re going QB a No. 2, but now, with three third-round picks instead of two – No. 79 now instead of No. 102 early in the fourth – what should the Commanders do in the second round?

“We’ll say they go QB at 2…they needed edge rushers and got three of them, they needed linebackers and got three, and Chinn, so defense they got a lot of players,” JP said. “On offense, they added interior offensive linemen and Austin Ekeler, who replaces Antonio Gibson at running back, and now you don’t have to plug holes other than tackle.”

So what does GM EB do?

“I don't know that it would help much, but I would see if anybody would let me package 36 and 40 to move up to get a better tackle,” EB said. “If I can't, then I'll just sit there and wait, but if there's a huge run on tackles, I'm gonna be a little bit anxious.”

And GM Bish?

“I definitely think that they need a corner and I would like them to get another receiver, preferably a bigger one, so if a Brian Thomas Jr. slipped to 36, which I doubt, it would be hard to look away from him,” Jason said. “But you need a tackle and if there's a run on tackles, let's just say the top five tackles are taken in the first round, then you're looking at a second round tackle. So I would say that I would probably go corner or tackle with that first one and then at 40 I would look a receiver.”

And finally, JP?

“Have to go tackle, and I like EB’s trade idea because you might be getting gristle, but I can’t go corner because you just drafted Quan and Forbes, so I’m gonna go receiver,” Flaim said. “I'm gonna go offense, because I feel like they loaded up more of the free agency hall on defense than they did on offense. I’m gonna get that receiver, because people say it's a good receiver crop, but I don't want to wait too long because then you got to wait all the way to 67.”

Bish tried to argue that secondary is still a mess despite Forbes and Martin,

“I don't know how you say you don't need a corner,” Jason said. “As teams throw the ball, you need a legit shutdown corner. I’m iffy on Forbes, and I think they can upgrade at that position. Every Monday last year, we said, man, receivers were killing them, the corners were always getting beat.”

At least everyone agreed that a left tackle is the biggest need – and you can listen to their whole convo above!
