You heard it straight from Dan Quinn's mouth: when asked about dam Peters' 'find a new QB' comment, Quinn said people were 'reading into things,' and when it came to Sam Howell specifically, 'I had the chance to compete against the team over the last few years and saw firsthand how talented he is.'
But in looking back at some of Quinn's word association answers for other QBs in the draft, something Bish said 'I think he's just trying to come up with something different for every guy,' EB thought that DQ's answer of 'game-changer' means 'Jayden Daniels pops for this guy.'
"That's the game-changer they're gonna be in position to pick at No. 2," Cakes said.
"He could have easily said game changer for Drake Maye and athletic for Jayden Daniels," Valdez added.
EB and JP think it simply means Daniels pops, and Quinn did say Adam Peters will have full final say on personnel…but being that it's the franchise QB, DQ SHOULD have some, right?
"The Daniels thing out of everything jumped out of it," JP said.
"When you say game changer…dude, everyone's looking for a game changer," EB said. "Everybody's athletic. You could have said that about anybody; athletic, that doesn't mean that much. You're giving away nothing."
"Didn't Peters come out, when he's not giving non-answers, and basically said having a mobile quarterback gives you more options?" Cakes replied. "Daniels is the top of the food chain there."
