Kyle Kuzma has agreed to a four-year, $102 million deal to return to the Wizards, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, bringing back one member of the previous Big 3.
Austin Brown, Kuzma’s agent from CAA Basketball, broke the news to Woj.
Kuzma, 27, signed a three-year, $39 million rookie extension with the Lakers in December 2020, but then was dealt to the Wizards in August 2021 in the five-team deal that sent Russell Westbrook to Los Angeles prior to that extension kicking in.
Over two seasons in DC, Kuzma played in 130 games and averaged 19.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 34.2 minutes per game, and he opted out of the final year and $13 million of his deal earlier this month.
Now, he will return on a deal with an AAV of $25.5 million, a contract that still, even with Jordan Poole on board, gives the Wizards a lot of room under the cap to make deals.
