The Washington Wizards traded guard Aaron Holiday to the Phoenix Suns ahead of Thursday's NBA trade deadline.
The Wizards will receive cash considerations but no players from Phoenix in the deal.
Holiday, 25, is a former first-round pick (23rd overall) in 2018 and arrived in Washington last August in a deal with the Pacers. He's averaging 6.1 points and 1.9 assists in 16.2 minutes per game for the Wizards this season.
The trade pales in comparison to a much larger deadline deal the Wizards swung with the Mavericks, sending Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans to Dallas in exchange for big man Kristaps Porzingis (details here).
Wizards GM Tommy Sheppard also dealt forward Montrezl Harrell to the Charlotte Hornets (details here).
