The Athletic’s Shams Charania made waves on Monday when he reported that Kyrie Irving and the Nets were at an “impasse” regarding a future contract, but he also included an interesting Wizards nugget.
Per Sharania, the Pacers are “seriously discussing trades centered on” Malcolm Brogdon, and he lists the Wizards as one of the teams interested, who have the No. 10 pick in this year’s draft and could use it to acquire Brogdon.

The 29-year-old Brogdon shot a career-worst 31.2 percent from downtown last season while shooting 45 percent overall from the field, averaging 19.1 points per game in just 36 games. His 2020-21 campaign was his best, shooting 39 percent from beyond the arc while averaging a career-high 21.2 points per game.
Washington has long been linked to Brogdon in a potential trade, and now it sounds like Indiana will be more motivated than ever to trade him.
