The Washington Wizards are finalizing a trade to send forward Rui Hachimura to the Los Angeles Lakers, according to multiple reports.

The Wizards will receive guard Kendrick Nunn and two second-round picks from the Lakers (and a pick-swap) to complete the move, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The trade is expected to be completed sometime Monday afternoon.

Washington will receive the Lakers' 2023 second-round pick (via the Chicago Bulls), the Lakers' 2029 second-round pick and the less favorable second-round pick (either the Wizards or Lakers) in 2028, according to Wojnarowski.

Hachumira was the subject of trade rumors last week with "several Western Conference teams in need of scoring" interested in acquiring the ninth overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Wizards head coach Wes Unseld Jr. said earlier on Monday that Hachimura was excused from the team's practice for personal reasons.

Hachimura, who turns 25 in February, is averaging 24.3 minutes per game off the bench this season. He is averaging 13 points on 10.8 attempts per game (48.8% from the floor) with 4.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 30 games for Washington.

Nunn, 27, will be looking to re-find the form in Miami that solidified the former undrafted player as an NBA contributor after missing all of last season with a knee injury.

In 39 games for Los Angeles this season, he has averaged 6.7 points (40.6% from the floor, 32.5% from three) with 1.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 13.5 minutes per game. During his two seasons with the Heat when he was primarily a starter, he averaged 15 points (45.8% from the floor, 36.4% from three)with 2.9 rebounds and 3 assists in 29.4 minutes per game.

Nunn's total Player Efficiency Rating with Miami was 13.5 (below the league average of 15) but that number has fallen to 8.9 in LA.

More will be added to this story as it develops.
