Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - While the postseason success for the Buffalo Bills has yet to take shape against the Kansas City Chiefs, their regular season success continues to shine after a 28-21 win on Sunday at Highmark Stadium.
With the win, the Bills improve to 6-2 in the standings and keep pace in the AFC East with the New England Patriots, who are atop the division at 7-2.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen had one of his best performances of the season, going 23-of-26 in the air for 273 yards and three total touchdowns. His 88.5% completion rate officially set a new franchise record for the best completion percent in a single game.
However, as is such the case with Allen, he wanted to highlight another prominent teammate following Sunday's win, as tight end Dalton Kincaid was Buffalo's leading receiver with six receptions for 101 and a touchdown
"He’s an absolute stud. He continues to get better, and I feel like each week he’s getting better and healthier," said Allen on Sunday following the win with the media. "It kinda shows you the kinda player he is and can be. ... My relationship and my trust is only going to continue to grow."
The defense was also a key piece of the Bills' victory Sunday, especially with some of the younger players on the roster. Allen was quick to give flowers to two prominent youngsters in the secondary in rookie cornerback Max Hairston and second-year safety Cole Bishop.
"It’s why we got Max, to be able to run and make some plays for us. And I thought Cole played outstanding tonight," Allen noted.
