Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - After a tough loss to the New York Jets in the season-opening game on Monday night, the Buffalo Bills are looking for a bounce-back performance in Week 2 when they return to Orchard Park for the home opener against the Las Vegas Raiders at Highmark Stadium.

Buffalo's loss on "Monday Night Football" left a poor taste in everyone's mouth, including quarterback Josh Allen, who turned the ball over four times and allowed the Jets to come back after trailing 13-3 at halftime.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott says despite the Week 1 loss, he's confident Allen will come back stronger from this.

"He got right back in the saddle, he's worked hard," said McDermott during his weekly appearance on the "Extra Point Show" on WGR. "It matters to Josh, we all know that. He's very competitive, and he's focused on this week's game."

While there were many takeaways from Week 1 to improve upon going forward, McDermott says there were some bright spots from his team's performance on Monday. Specifically the effort cornerback Christian Benford made to track down Jets running back Breece Hall on his 83-yard run in the second quarter.

"It's what happens around the plays or in-between the plays, in terms of this case, the effort. That was a great example of outworking the other people on the field," McDermott said with Sal Capaccio. "That saved us four points, as we were able to hold them to a field goal. For a young player to make that play, it says a lot about his DNA and how he's learning in our environment and our culture here."

The Raiders come to town Sunday off of a close 17-16 victory over the Denver Broncos last week on the road. McDermott is quite familiar with Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels, having spent plenty of time in the AFC East under Bill Belichick's staff with the New England Patriots.

"They do a great job. I think Josh McDaniels is a heck of a coach, a heck of a game planner and play caller," McDermott said. "He's been at it a long time, and he's had success at it. We've had our matchups over the years. I think he's familiar with some of what we do, and we're familiar with some of what he does as well. I think it'll be a good matchup for the fans."
