Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills listed new cornerback Rasul Douglas on the injury report as not participating on Wednesday due to, how the team put it as "just got here."

While it was humorous, it was also accurate.

The new defensive back acquired from the Green Bay Packers in a trade on Tuesday had just arrived in Orchard Park, and walked out on the field to meet his new teammates as practice was happening.

Then on Thursday, Douglas suited up in Bills practice gear for the first time.

Although he isn't even sure if he'll be playing Sunday night when his new team faces the Cincinnati Bengals, he approached his first practice as if he will be starting.

"I have no idea," Douglas told reporters after practice on Thursday. "They haven't told me, like, I'm playing, I'm not. I don't know when they would tell me. But I'm going to prepare and practice like I'm out there starting."

Whatever his role is, and whenever that takes shape, Douglas says he's ready to contribute.

"I came here to play, and make plays for this organization," he said. "That's really my focus, is doing whatever it is the team needs me to do. Whether it's this week, next week, whatever week it may be, and just play my heart out."

In the meantime, veteran defensive tackle Linval Joseph, signed by the club earlier in the day, was also on the field for the first time.

As for Thursday's injury report, quarterback Josh Allen, who did not participate on Wednesday to rest his right shoulder, was a full participant on Thursday.

Meanwhile, safety Damar Hamlin was also back to being a full participant after missing Wednesday's practice due to an illness. Linebacker A.J. Klein did not practice on Thursday due to a back injury.
