Sabres re-sign Tyson Jost to one-year deal

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) – Tyson Jost was an unrestricted free agent for about a half hour on Saturday, as the Buffalo Sabres re-signed him to a one-year contract worth $2 million to open NHL Free Agency.

Jost is coming off a two-year deal he signed with the Colorado Avalanche that had a total value of $4 million.

After being claimed off waivers from the Minnesota Wild, Jost played 59 games with the Sabres, scoring seven goals and 15 assists for 22 points.

He started his career with Colorado, being taken 10th overall in the 2016 NHL Draft. It didn’t quite work out, though, as he scored 45 goals and 58 assists for 103 points in 321 games.
