Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Toronto Maple Leafs have hired Jeremiah Crowe to be their director of player personnel. He leaves the Buffalo Sabres as their director of pro scouting, which was a position he had held for four years.
When Kevyn Adams was hired by Terry Pegula in 2020 to purge the hockey department, which is something Jason Botterill would not do, he put Crowe in charge of both pro and amateur scouting. To his credit, Adams quickly found out that is too big a job for one man and convinced Terry Pegula that he went way too far in how many people he had Adams fire from the hockey department. In 2023-23, Crowe took over the pro scouting side.
