Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback and current FOX 5 Atlanta sports anchor, DJ Shockley, joined The Midday Show with Andy and Randy to talk about Georgia going against the Clemson Tigers on Saturday in Week 1 action of the college football season.

In previewing the game, Shockley feels that UGA has the better quarterback in JT Daniels. While he feels that both Daniels and Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei will be battling for the Heisman Trophy, Daniels has the slight edge.

"Right now I'm going to go with JT because I think he has a bigger sample size that you can choose from," Shockley said, even though he admitted Uiagalelei had some big games last season. "I would give it to JT, I think he has the upper hand right now."

While Shockley feels like there are still questions about Georgia's offensive line, he also thinks that people will see a totally different offense. With another year in this offense and with a unique style of quarterback in Daniels that Kirby Smart has not had, he expects this offense to be high-flying. Shockley thinks that a win would change the national perception that Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are for real.

Shockley believes that linebacker Adam Anderson must have a significant impact on this game. Shockley says Anderson needs to get to the quarterback and just be disruptive throughout the game. Shockley believes that if Anderson’s name is not called eight to nine times during Saturdays’ ballgame, then he does not think UGA has a good chance defensively against Clemson.
