
Clemson took both games over in-state rival South Carolina over the weekend. Game one was in Columbia, Saturday and saw Clemson win 5-4 in extra innings. Game two saw Clemson win by that same score in Tiger Town.
In game one, Clemson led 4-1 after 8 innings but the Gamecocks rallied to score three in the 9th and the game went to extra innings. Clemson would win it with a solo homer in the 12th from Shortstop Andrew Ciufo. It was one of three hits he had on the day.
On Sunday, Clemson trailed early on 3-1 but fought back to tie it at 3. They would score in the 6th to take a 4-3 lead and would add another run in 8th, to lead 5-3 heading into the 9th. South Carolina needed two to tie, however they would get just one as Austin Gordon closed the door to pick up the save for Clemson.
The Tigers are 9-1 on the season thus far, they host Kansas State at Doug Kingsmore Wednesday, the game is set for a 4PM 1st pitch.
