ESPN's College GameDay is set to come to Columbia later this month. College GameDay will make its first exclusive trip to a women's basketball game in eleven years when they roll into South Carolina's capital city February 20th. The show will emanate from Colonial Life Arena prior to the 1PM tip off between #1 South Carolina and #13 Tennessee.
South Carolina Coach Dawn Staley said " Women's basketball is enjoying tremendous growth right now and having shows like College GameDay expand their scope and highlight our sport is another step in that growth". Only two other women's programs have ever hosted College GameDay, Uconn was the 1st in 2010 and Tennessee hosted the show in 2011.
