Furman Basketball has wasted no time in naming their new Head Coach for Women's Basketball. Furman didn't do a national search instead they looked just down the hall and hired with in.
The Paladin Athletic Department announced the hiring of Pierre Curtis as their new Head Coach for Women's Basketball. Curtis replaces Jackie Carson, who recently accepted the job as Senior Associate Commissioner of Women's Basketball in the ACC.
Curtis has been on the Women's Basketball Staff for 10 years and has been the Associate Head Coach since 2019.
Furman's Vice President Of Athletics Jason Donnelly said " “We are excited to have Pierre Curtis lead our women’s basketball program. Over the past decade, coach Curtis has played a critical role in the growth of our program and in the successes of our student-athletes, on the court and off.”
Curtis said " “I want thank Jason Donnelly and President Davis for trusting me with this great opportunity. I am also very grateful to Jackie Carson for all she has done for me and Furman University.”
