A Midlands native and one of the top freshmen in college basketball this past season has declared for this summer's NBA draft. South Carolina Gamecock Forward Greg "GG" Jackson announced he's entering the draft during an Instagram Live Post.
Jackson is a Columbia native who led Ridge View High to the 5A State Title in 2022, before moving on to the college ranks. He averaged over 15 points per game and 6 rebounds this past season at South Carolina.
That feat is made more impressive considering he was a year ahead of schedule. Jackson graduated a year early and originally would have still been in high school this past season.
Jackson won't turn 19 until December of this year making him the youngest player in this year's draft class.
