Diamond Baseball says the name and logo for the new team will be unveiled at a later date. The club is expected to make "Sparkle City" home in 2025.
The new 3,500 seat ballpark in Downtown Spartanburg is part of the largest development project in the city's history, which has a total price tag of over 400 million.
