
Last week, the General Manager for the new minor league baseball team set to make its home in Spartanburg was announced.
The ownership group, Diamond Baseball Holdings has hired Tyson Jeffers away from the Hudson Valley Renegades of the Yankees organization. Jeffers joined the Rob Brown Show on The Fan Upstate Wednesday morning to give his initial thoughts on the area and how the team plays into future growth for Spartanburg.
While the name and logo for the new Spartanburg team have not been made public yet, Jeffers confirmed that the naming process is well underway. Discussions between stakeholders have been taking place regarding the name and logo for the new club.
