The South Carolina High School League held a meeting Tuesday morning to discuss the plan to move forward with the season in the wake of Hurricane Helene.

The High School League says 66 football games were missed statewide after Helene impacted the Palmetto State. Most of those were region games which determine who makes the playoffs.

The biggest takeaway from the meeting Tuesday, was the board voting 9 to 4 in favor of extending the regular season while keeping all five rounds of the playoffs in tact.

The only major change will be that the finish of the season will be pushed back. The State Title Games will now be played December 12th-14th.
