
The unbeaten and #1 ranked team in the Women's College Basketball is set to be in action in the Upstate this week. As the latest installment of a tournament that has become a fixture in Greenville is now underway.
The SEC Women's Basketball Tournament is back and runs through Sunday at "The Well". Action tipped off Wednesday with Kentucky beating Georgia and Missouri taking on Florida.
Greenville has played host to the SEC Women's Tournament several times after first hosting the event in 2005. The South Carolina Gamecocks are the defending SEC Champs and will being their title defense Friday at noon against the winner of Texas A&M and Mississippi State.
The tournament brings with it an influx of visitors and an economic boost for Greenville and the surrounding area. The SEC has already announced that the Women's Tournament will be back in Greenville in 2025.
