The Cubs now have 51 players in a player pool that will be capped at 60 in the shortened 2020 season.
Perez, 29, has hit .252 with a .668 OPS across parts of eight MLB seasons. He hit .228 with eight homers, 18 RBIs and a .642 OPS in 91 games for the Brewers in 2019.
