(670 The Score) The Cubs have placed right-hander Kyle Hendricks on the 15-day injured list with a right shoulder strain, they announced Wednesday.
Hendricks exited with discomfort after throwing just three innings in Chicago's 8-3 win at Milwaukee on Tuesday evening. Hendricks' injury is similar to what bothered him back in June, when he rested for 12 days with an ailing shoulder.
Hendricks is 4-6 with a 4.80 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 16 starts this season.
In a corresponding move, the Cubs recalled right-hander Anderson Espinoza from Double-A Tennessee. He made his MLB debut for the Cubs earlier this season, allowing two runs in four innings against the Brewers on May 30.
