(670 The Score) The Cubs have placed right-hander Marcus Stroman on the 15-day injured list with right hip inflammation.
The Cubs added reliever Jose Cuas to the 26-man roster in a corresponding roster move. Cuas, 29, was acquired by the Cubs on Monday in a trade with the Royals, which sent outfielder Nelson Velazquez to Kansas City.
Stroman, 32, is 10-8 with a 3.85 ERA over 23 starts this season. However, he has a 9.00 ERA (30 earned runs over 30 innings) in his last seven starts.
The Cubs host the Reds on Wednesday night in the third matchup of a four-game series.
