(670 The Score) With the start of spring training just around the corner, the Cubs have added another arm to their mix.
Right-hander Michael Fulmer and the Cubs have agreed on a deal, Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic reported Friday afternoon. Fulmer will strengthen the Cubs' bullpen as he comes off a pair of strong seasons.
Fulmer, 29, posted a 3.39 ERA and 1.37 WHIP in 67 relief appearances split between the Tigers and Twins in 2022. He had a 2.97 ERA in 2021, when he transitioned from being a starter to a reliever.
