(104.3 The Score) Center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong and the Cubs have reached an agreement on a long-term contract extension, according to multiple reports late Monday.
Financial details weren't immediately available, but the contract is expected to be worth more than $100 million for Crow-Armstrong, USA Today reported.
The 23-year-old Crow-Armstrong had a breakout 2025 campaign, earning All-Star honors after a terrific first half. He slumped after the All-Star break but still posted 6.0 WAR for the season, according to Baseball Reference. Crow-Armstrong hit .247 with 31 homers, 95 RBIs and .768 OPS in 157 games in 2025.
He has also established himself as a premier defensive player and won a Gold Glove award last season
Crow-Armstrong and the Cubs will open the regular season Thursday, when they host the Nationals at Wrigley Field at 1:20 p.m.
